No pressure for perfect moments. We move through moments naturally. I use my creative eye and intuition, and take care of the rest.
My style is considered lifestyle - with a blend of documentary and editorial. At the heart of documentary photography is authenticity, a snapshot of the moment exactly as it was, exactly as you were.
In addition to simply documenting - I believe in creative collaboration. An artful storytelling of your days in the season you're in. I have the intuition to know when to be silent, letting a moment unfold naturally, and when to offer a prompt that turns an ordinary moment into something really fun to look back on. Most of my images are true candids, and I also enjoy curating moments that add an artistic flair to your album - little pieces of novelty you may not otherwise capture in your day to day.
My focus during each session is fostering an environment of ease and connection, and offering a simple invitation to step into the most present, carefree, loving and joyful version of you. Many of my clients find their experience of taking photos surprisingly easy, relaxed, just as fun as actually receiving their photos.
I practice the art of noticing, of enhancing what is meaningful to you, while staying attune to your family's personality, the mood of the moment, and opportunities to embrace the chaos that leads to playfulness, laughter and the wonderful imperfection that is a much more accurate depiction of your days. This ensures that you not only have a collection of photographs that feel true to you, but also a unique work of natural magic you never imagined you'd find your family living inside.

My favorite approach is un-rushed documentation of your family, playing and living fully in your own personality, doing the things that bring you joy and connection, while thoughtfully creating art that captures your memories to relish in them now, and delights the ones flipping through your family albums decades from now.

Life's greatest miracle - the most delicate yet powerful you've ever felt. Maternity sessions can range from one hour frolicking in the garden or curated in a natural light studio, to a few hours in your home with space for the focus to switch from mother and bump to the full family.

Life's greatest joy - the start of a new chapter with the introduction of your newest family member. Newborn sessions are usually in-home and can range from a fresh 48 to 3 months. True to the season of having a newborn, these sessions are unhurried, handled with tenderness and patience, and we're telling the story of you and your baby's new life together - therefore requiring a bit more time than a standard hour session.

Each experience I offer consists of collaborative planning of your session after booking via text or phone call. While my photography style may be considered documentary in many ways, we also practice thoughtfulness and intention behind personal styling and environment. This ensures that your photos feel meaningful, artful, and stand the test of time.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO OUR SESSION?
It is not a practice of mine to withhold precious moments for the sake of an image count. That being said, there is so much time that goes into thoughtfully selecting and hand editing each photograph, placing each moment of yours that I capture at such a high value. I do not currently cap my gallery delivery, but may offer the option to purchase additional images in the future.
HOW MANY IMAGES CAN I EXPECT?
I deliver most galleries within 4 weeks. Fuller seasons (including the holidays) may require additional time. I practice being fully present and giving my heart in both my work and my personal life, and I *try* not to cave to the societal pressures of instant gratification - good things take time.

WHAT if my child is having a tough day emotionally?
Let me start by saying, I'm a mother to a highly independent and strong willed toddler with a big beautiful personality. I try to meet any child having uncontrollable feelings with a patient and calming presence. Even in 20 minute sessions with children who are not feeling it, I have still been able to capture dozens of beautiful and joyful images. I'm well practiced at prompting you to interact with your kids in a way that can spark a little moment of laughter, and also have some tricks up my sleeve to transition a dull moment and bring a different energy. In my session guide, I also include tips to help prepare your family (both physically + emotionally) to make the most of our time together.
